Two days ago, we covered claims made in France that AS Monaco have made Manchester United’s Eric Bailly as their priority target this summer.

The Ligue 1 side are joined by Marseille in the chase for the defender, according to the latest report from L’Equipe.

Marseille had requested the 28-year-old’s signing in the January window on a loan deal until the end of the season. The deal didn’t materialise and the centre-back finished the campaign at Manchester United.

The Ivory Coast international is back again on Marseille’s agenda in the summer window. It’s claimed the French club have resumed talks with the Red Devils player and have been in contact with him ‘for two good weeks’.

Monaco are tagged as L’Equipe state they are also ‘eyeing’ the ex-Villarreal man. Despite this, it’s claimed the Manchester United player ‘seems more open’ to joining Marseille.

Erik ten Hag’s side, at the moment, are ‘inflexible’ because they only want to let Bailly go out on a dry loan deal and don’t want to attach an option/obligation to buy.
