KartalBakisi.com have reported Besiktas are in constant contact with Newcastle United regarding Aleksandar Mitrovic. Earlier this week we covered reports Besiktas’ local rivals Fenerbahce are also interested in the Newcastle United player.

The Serbian striker could leave the Premier League side before the start of the new season, and both Turkish sides are showing a keen interest in the player.

Fenerbahce’s new boss Aykut Kocaman believes his style of play would be ideal for the Turkish giants, and has asked the club’s board to sign the Newcastle United man. It’s been claimed both Fenerbahce and Besiktas are unable to afford his £10m price tag, so a loan deal is their likeliest option.

Mitrovic found himself in and out of the Newcastle United team last season due to the form of top scorer Dwight Gayle. Rafael Benitez will want to strengthen his squad during the summer window, which could add further doubt to the player’s future at the club.
