Real Sociedad have included Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso in their target list after they couldn’t reach an agreement with Manchester United for Donny van de Beek.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say the La Liga side want to sign Van de Beek on loan with an option to buy. However, Manchester United want a mandatory purchase option included in the deal.
Although Real Sociedad and Manchester United continue to hold talks for the Dutchman, he isn’t the only option, and they’re now also looking at the Tottenham player.
Mundo’s title states ‘La Real asked about Lo Celso’. Within the report, it’s said the officials of the Spanish club had a meeting with the Argentina international’s father in Valencia.
Lo Celso is represented by Giovanni Capasso and his father seems to be part of his entourage.
Last week, Sport stated Ange Postecoglou is ‘still deciding’ whether to include Lo Celso in his plans for the new season. The Tottenham player spent the last 18 months on loan at Villarreal.
