Besiktas are hoping Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente will lower his demands, as the Turkish side look to sign the Spaniard this summer, report Fanatik.
Besiktas manager Senol Gunes would reportedly be happy to work with Llorente as he believes he could be a quality addition to his squad.
The Turkish newspaper have reported Llorente has demanded an annual salary of €5m, but Besiktas can only offer the Swansea City forward €3m per season. Swansea City are also insisting they want at least €4m for Llorente if the Turkish champions want to sign the player this summer.
Subsequently the Turkish champions are looking at other options if they miss out on Llorente, and they are now considering FC Porto’s Vincent Aboubakar as their backup plan.
Llorente’s 15 Premier League goals last season helped Swansea retain their top-flight status, but it’s currently unclear if he’ll remain at the Liberty Stadium for next season. The Spaniard attracted interest from Chelsea, something he’s talked about himself, so may not feel he’s in a position he needs to consider a pay cut.
And as for Swansea selling for €4m? That also sounds unlikely.
