It hasn’t been a month since the start of the season, but we’ve already reached the stage where the transfer rumours for next summer start to show up.
It’s Tuttosport who comes up saying that Juventus are already working to sign Marcelo from Real Madrid in 2019.
The Brazilian left-back reportedly doesn’t have a good relationship with Julen Lopetegui, and would be happy to meet his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin.
But for Real Madrid to sell Marcelo, they would need a replacement. That’s where Marcos Alonso from Chelsea comes in.
Tuttosport claims that Florentino Perez has already made the first approach, but as Chelsea demanded €60m, the Real Madrid president backed off.
Now the Galacticos could make another attempt next summer. This time, with €50m more in their pocket from Marcelo’s sale.
But there’s a long time to go until the end of the season, and we’re glad that Tuttosport didn’t even try to guess what Chelsea will think of the transfer in June 2019.
Maybe Alonso will be worth more, maybe less. Too early, isn’t it?
