Nelson Semedo is a pretty achievable signing for Manchester United, according to today’s edition of A Bola.
Besides the talks for Lindelof, the Red Devils have reportedly also been keeping in contact with Benfica for the right-back, and already know the conditions of a transfer.
It seems pretty easy. But the big question, which hasn’t been mentioned by any newspaper yet, is how much will Manchester United have to pay for Semedo.
Just imagine: Lindelof has a €30m release clause and is being sold for €45m. Semedo has an €80m release clause. We’re not saying he’ll be sold for more than it too, as the Swede’s case is something atypical. But still, Benfica will obviously ask for a lot of money. The first transfer won’t make this any easier.
Semedo’s agent is Jorge Mendes, who according to the reports, was working on Lindelof’s transfer due to his knowledge and contacts with English clubs.
So it’s not hard to see that this transfer is being pushed to happen too, even though Manchester United have been reportedly scouting the right-back for a while.
