Bob Bradley’s Swansea have been linked with a move for Barcelona star Aleix Vidal by the English media, and Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo have an update on that on Friday.

The Spanish defender has been used sporadically by Luis Enrique, called up for their Champions League match against Borussia Monchengaldbach, before being left out future squads for La Liga games.

Vidal, however, made an appearance against Hercules in the Copa del Rey, picking up an assist, but his future at the Catalan clubs remains uncertain.

Mundo Deportivo report, according to their information, that, as things stand, the Spaniard is still expecting to return for training on December 30, with no decision about his future taken as of yet.

Vidal clearly isn’t thinking about an exit at the moment, but that could obviously change if Barcelona sign Darijo Srna in January.

Mundo Deportivo confirm Vidal also had admirers in Portugal, Italy and Spain, but the presence of Fernando Llorente, Borja Bastón, Ángel Rangel and Jordi Amat at the Liberty Stadium could be an advantage for the Swans.

As things stand, Vidal has made just 5 appearances for Barcelona this season, and his future could lie elsewhere.

Whether his next destination happens to be Swansea remains to be seen, however.
