Brazilian side Internacional continue with their attempt to sign Manchester City striker Nahuel Bustos, according to local reports.

Globo Esporte now writes that the Colorado ‘accelerate’ in talks for the 24-year-old, as they have a deadline to get the signing done.

The squad for the Copa Sudamericana quarter-finals must be submitted before Saturday, and that’s why Inter would like to get the transfer done before that.

It’s said the club ‘advanced’ in ‘some points’ with Manchester City. The sides are said to now be discussing a loan with a buying clause which will depend on performance goals.

Meanwhile, a report from Zero Hora points out that the Premier League side’s intention is still to get a sale. They paid €5.5m for the signing, and now want to recover that money.

Manchester City are said to be in no hurry to get the transfer done, and Inter believe that in case they can’t buy him, then he’ll just be sent to another club from the City Group.

A full purchase is ruled out by the Brazilian club, so they will continue pushing for a loan deal, and it seems only the buying clause could unlock this move.
