Turkish website Ajansspor claim Leicester City central defender Çağlar Söyüncü is a transfer target for Paris Saint Germain.
It’s previously been reported Barcelona are interested in signing the Turkey international and had tabled a bid in the region of €40m. However, according to Ajansspor, PSG are now the club who are most seriously interested in signing him this summer.
Leicester City reportedly value the player between €60-70m, and Ajansspor say the French champions are the only club who can match this figure. With Thiago Silva set to leave, it’s quite possible PSG will be in the market for a central defender in this transfer window.
Söyüncü was one of the best performers for Brendan Rodgers’ team as they narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot for next season.
The former Altinordu defender, who joined the club from Freiburg for €21m, made 42 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions last season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to the Premier League club until June 2023.
