Towards the end of January, multiple claims came from France about Manchester United interest in Antero Henrique.
Formerly of PSG, the sporting director was said to be in talks with the Premier League club about taking up a role at Old Trafford. Those talks were reported as being advanced, but it appeared they were coming from someone close to Henrique.
Other clubs were said to be interested and it looked liked an effort to improve Henrique’s reputation after a difficult exit from the Ligue 1 club.
Now Soccer Link, part of the Paris United network, have further claims on his involvement with Manchester United.
It’s once again stated he’s in talks over becoming the club’s sporting director, and has been working behind the scenes for them already. Bruno Fernandes is presented as being a transfer Henrique has helped Manchester United with, working in a brokerage role between the English club and Sporting.
Soccer Link explain Henrique was keen on Bruno when at PSG, and the midfielder’s signing is the first mark he’s made at the Red Devils.
This again feels unlikely, Manchester United had been interested in Bruno for many months, and Henrique didn’t get a single mention in all the reporting about the player’s move.
