For the past few days, reports from both England and Croatia have insisted that Tottenham Hotspur are set to agree a transfer with Hajduk Split for Luka Vušković.

Sportske Novosti claim the 16-year-old is about to sign a contract with the north London club.

It’s claimed the city of Split was ‘buzzing with the news’ that the defender and his family have already flown to London to carry out a medical with Tottenham.

In February 2025, the centre-back will turn 18-years-of-age, and only after that can he arrive in England. In other words, Spurs won’t be able to have him at the club until the summer of 2025 as he won’t be eligible to obtain a work permit to play in the UK.

Sportske Novosti say there are several questions that need to be clarified with his future until he’s eligible to join Tottenham.

Vušković could continue his development at the Croatian club while Ange Postecoglou’s side may decide to loan him to another club in the next window.

As it stands, the youngster will be with his current employer at least until January, and his stay there may be extended depending upon what has been agreed between Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and Hajduk president Lukša Jakobušić.
