Just last week, the Brazilian media revealed that Chelsea recently considered signing André from Fluminense to loan him out to Sporting.
The Blues’ idea was to have one more argument in the negotiations to take Manuel Ugarte from the Lions. That didn’t happen, though, with the Uruguayan moving to Paris Saint Germain instead.
Now it turns out that the plan about André may not have been forgotten, according to Record.
The report highlights the Blues’ good relationship with the Lions. Todd Boehly had already tried to buy part of the Portuguese club, and even though he didn’t succeed, there’s a positive relationship.
Chelsea have been buying other Brazilians to loan them out, so it’d be no surprise to see them doing that again. The word in South America is that Fluminense only want the player to move in January, so it’d even make sense for the Blues to send him somewhere else instead of trying to adapt the player in the middle of the season.
