The Italian media are increasingly coming around to the idea that Juventus could sell Alex Sandro, even in the January transfer window.

This weekend Gazzetta dello Sport report Sandro is now sell-able, and Juventus are evening looking around for replacements. AS Roma’s Emerson Palmieri is pushed forward as possible replacement, should Sandro leave Juventus and join someone like Chelsea.

Once again it’s Chelsea pushed forward as the most likely destination. Gazzetta say Sandro was ‘bewitched’ in the summer as Chelsea offered him €7m per year, with wages quoted after tax in the Italian media.

Along with that the Premier League champions ‘waved’ a €60m offer in front of Juventus, but the Turin club didn’t want to sell, having seen Alves and Bonucci already go in the same window.

But since then Sandro just hasn’t been himself, and that’s leading to a change of mind. What was once an ‘unthinkable’ transfer is now very much under consideration and Chelsea could get their man… even in the winter market.

Whether Chelsea would back Antonio Conte to the extent of paying €50-60m for a left back in January is perhaps now the more pressing question.
