Chelsea will need to offer Inter Milan at least €20m if they are to convince Inter Milan to sell Cesare Casadei.
That’s according to Calcio Mercato, who follow up on reports of Chelsea’s interest yesterday with a claim of a bid being placed.
We covered a report from Gianluca di Marzio that stated Chelsea had made the first bid for the youngster, who has bewitched Thomas Tuchel.
That claimed an offer of €7-8m had been submitted, with the Blues seeking a permanent move for the midfielder.
Whether Inter were interested in a deal wasn’t made clear, although the idea of a ‘right to repurchase’ for the Italian side to get him back in future.
CM follow that up today and say the offer from Chelsea was €8m but that has been rejected as Inter Milan want much more. In fact, CEO Giuseppe Marotta is looking for €20m.
Whether that’s a price Chelsea will pay isn’t mentioned but it seems unlikely given Casadei is 19 years old and yet to make his debut for Inter.
