It looks like it’s Laurent Blanc’s turn to be linked to the Chelsea job.
Blanc has been briefly mentioned in Chelsea rumours previously, but TMW now claim the club are actually making advances to get the Frenchman to the club.
The Italian website say Chelsea are ‘surprisingly’ making moves for Blanc, who hasn’t managed since leaving PSG in 2016. The 52 year old also has experience coaching the French national team and a return to management is perhaps long overdue.
Luis Enrique has long been linked with taking over from Antonio Conte this summer, but this week there’s been claims from Spain that Chelsea have grown tired of the former Barcelona manager stalling them.
Massimo Allegri has also been linked, but there’s every chance the Italian could continue at Juventus for another season after the current one. He’s not exactly doing a terrible job and staying in Turin could be more attractive than diving into the craziness of the Premier League.
With it looking almost certain that Conte will be leaving his post this summer, the claims over a new manager are going to intensify in coming weeks, and Chelsea would surely prefer the situation to be settled way before the World Cup starts.
