Last month, claims from Brazil said Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento is on Chelsea’s radar and that was then backed up in Italy.

On March 29th, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Inter Milan have to be cautious of Chelsea as they are lurking to sign the €15m-valued stopper.

Journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, shares the latest on the 24-year-old.

The goalkeeper has kept seven clean sheets and conceded seven goals from 14 matches this year, and made his debut for Brazil last month.

Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero is on loan at the San Siro and his future beyond this season is uncertain. Therefore, the Nerazzurri are looking at other options and their focus seems to be on Bento.

Inter have been following the Athletico Paranaense star for a long time. His current deal lasts until December 2026 and Ceccarini claims the South American has a high valuation, without mentioning any figures.

The Serie A side continue to keep their contacts alive, despite facing ‘fierce competition’ from the Premier League to sign Bento.

This is when Ceccarini mentions Chelsea and Arsenal, and adds that these two clubs have ‘started to increase the pressure’ to secure Bento’s services.
