After making 15 league starts in his debut season at Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech has been restricted to only four league appearances in the Premier League this term, two of which have been starts.
Four days ago, Bild reported the 28-year-old ‘definitely wants to leave’ the west London club and Borussia Dortmund have identified him as a target for the winter window.
BVB wanting the attacking midfielder in January is now backed up by Sky Deutschland.
It’s claimed the Morocco international ‘cannot avoid high competition’ at Chelsea, and therefore the Champions League winners are ‘ready to loan’ the ex-Ajax man in the next window.
Sky Deutschland insist the ‘ready to loan’ claim is their own information.
A final decision is still to be made and if the Premier League side make him available in the market, Dortmund will ‘certainly be interested’ in Ziyech.
BVB have been looking at Stamford Bridge since the summer, when they tried signing Callum Hudson-Odoi. The deal didn’t materialise then because Thomas Tuchel ‘vetoed’ his exit.
Despite the summer disappointment, the Bundesliga side have been in contact with the England international’s camp. Sky make it clear that Hudson-Odoi is part of Tuchel’s plans at Chelsea and therefore, will ‘definitely not leave’ the club in the mid-season window.
