Newcastle United will shift their focus to the winter market after appointing Eddie Howe as their new manager last week.

The Tyneside club have already been linked to various names and among them is Adrien Rabiot. On November 12th, Corriere dello Sport explained the Juventus player remains a concrete option for the Magpies in January.

Calciomercato has a short update on the 26-year-old, stating the Serie A side have ‘offered the French midfielder to Newcastle’. There’s no mention from them on whether the Premier League club or Rabiot are in favour of a transfer in the next window.

The former Paris Saint-Germain is one of the Juve players to have disappointed the most for the Old Lady this season, according to Calciomercato.it.

It’s claimed Chelsea are ‘seriously thinking’ of the France international to replace Saúl Ñíguez at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle are tagged and regarding them, the report says ‘there is pessimism’, mainly due to a lack of clarity in their plans. From the technical point of view, the project under Howe, at present, is ‘a bit confusing’.

With Chelsea and Newcastle named as potential contenders, Rabiot’s position needs to be monitored.
