Bournemouth are keen on Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and have already made a bid for him.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Bournemouth have sped up their efforts to get Okoye and already submitted a €13m offer for the goalkeeper.
They report that Okoye’s talent has been appreciated by several clubs in Europe, but Bournemouth are ramping up their efforts and want him signed ‘very quickly’.
They have a ‘real interest’ in the 25-year-old and have even submitted a €13m offer to the Italian club to try and sign him. Indeed, the deal between the various parties is now considered to have ‘advanced by more than 30%’.
The former Watford, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper has a contract with Udinese that runs until June 2028, so the Italian side are under no pressure to sell.
Africa Foot say he is currently valued at €7.5m and Bournemouth will have to ‘pull out all the stops’ if they are to get him out of Italy. In other words, other words, €13m may not be enough.
They’re making moves to try and get the goalkeeper, though, perhaps eyeing him as an alternative to Kepa Arrizabalaga if he cannot be signed on a permanent basis from Chelsea this summer.
