It’s no secret that Chelsea are in a strong chase for Ecuadorian youngster Kendry Paez, as it was many times claimed there are advanced talks for the transfer.

It turns out that according to the latest claims from South America, it seems the move is now on the verge of becoming official.

Mach Deportes features an ‘urgent’ story claiming there’s an ‘agreement in principle’ between Chelsea and Independiente Del Valle for the transfer.

The report is made by their journalist Sebastian Machado, and it’s claimed there will be more news about the deal ‘in the coming days’.

Interestingly, when Mach Deportes director Roberto Omar Machado tweeted about the report, he labelled the transfer ‘official’, so we better wait and see for more reports, as maybe it’s all done already.

Kendry Paez is just 15-years-old, so even though Chelsea could find an agreement to buy him now, they must wait for him to turn 18 before he completes the move to London.

The youngster already has three appearances for Independiente’s first team, and is also part of Ecuador’s U-17 squad.
