Marco Alonso’s strong wish of leaving Chelsea this summer is today updated by Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo, who brings some interesting information on this case.

According to the outlet, given the reluctance that Chelsea have been showing for the full-back to move to Barcelona, he now doesn’t rule out going for a transfer request.

It’s said Alonso would rather leave Chelsea through the front door, since they’re a club he has a big story with.

However, the ‘obstacles’ they’ve been putting in his way are something that could change his stance.

Mundo Deportivo writes that each time the player’s agent tried his departure from Stamford Bridge, there’s always been a negative response from the Blues, and if nothing changes in the ‘coming days’, the transfer request could be an option.

For that to happen, they also need the green light from Barcelona, who are analysing how much they can offer for the move.

This report comes with interesting timing, because just last week, we had seen Catalan outlet Sport saying Chelsea and Barça were close on a deal for Alonso to move to Camp Nou for around €10m.

So perhaps the Blues’ intransigence in the talks is what convinced the player of rebelling against them.
