Since Barcelona set eyes on Athletico Paranaense wonderkid Vitor Roque, the Catalan media always sounded very confident that the Camp Nou side would manage to land the next Brazilian star.

However, it was soon made clear that other clubs would compete for that singing, with Chelsea being part of the list of interested sides.

Now Mundo Deportivo comes up with story to confirm that the Blues are pressing to win this battle against Barcelona.

Their report claims Chelsea are ‘moving quickly’ to get the signing done, and are trying to convince those around him of a move to Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are now seeing the operation as ‘complicated’, as they don’t have the ‘financial muscle’ to compete for the youngster.

Chelsea are said to have a ‘firm’ commitment with this pursuit as they want a young goalscorer in their squad, seeing Vitor Roque as the solution to that desire.

This time, Mundo Deportivo doesn’t say how much Athletico Paranaense will demand for the transfer, only claiming that they’ll take the best offer on the table.

The word in Brazil is that the 18-year-old should move for over €40m.
