Chelsea and Manchester City sent scouts on Sunday to watch defender – Scored his sixth goal of season

It appears that Manchester City and Chelsea could be in a tussle for a defender next summer, as both are keen on Axel Disasi.

This is according to Le Parisien, who reveal the two Premier League teams sent a scout to watch the player in action against Nantes at the weekend.

They will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also interested, as Chelsea and Manchester City ‘keep an eye on his performances’.

Ending up in the France squad that went all the way to the final in the Qatar World Cup, the Monaco defender has seen his status increase, leading to interest from the aforementioned clubs.

Both Chelsea and Manchester City were able to ‘appreciate the good copy’ he put forward on the pitch of La Beaujoire on Sunday, where he found the back of the net in the 2-2 draw.

This was his sixth goal of the campaign, during which he also has four assists, showing he can be an asset at the back and on set pieces.

With AS Monaco only paying €13m for him in 2020, they could be set for a nice profit, especially if Manchester City and Chelsea end up in some sort of auction for him.
