Due to Chelsea’s transfer ban, there hasn’t been a lot of transfer rumours for players arriving. Even the Portuguese press, which is a place full of stories during the window, hardly mentioned the Blues in the last market.

Now there’s a reason to believe the London side are back in action, as they had an official watching the Champions League clash between Benfica and Lyon last night.

The lack of rumours obviously makes it hard to guess who Chelsea were watching, especially because A Bola, who reports the visit in first place, doesn’t point out any targets.

Benfica have a handful of talents who could soon leave, and some of them were in action in the 2-1 win at the Estádio da Luz.

The likes of Ruben Dias and Alex Grimaldo, who have been impressing for the last couple of seasons, had another good performance last night, as they continue being Benfica’s most reliable players.

Meanwhile, young talents such as Gedson Fernandes and Florentino Luís were a little more discreet.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the situation to see if Chelsea are linked to any of them, since these visits to Lisbon are often the origin of big transfer rumours.
