Turkish newspaper Fotomac claim Fenerbahce and Celtic are looking to sign Andre Ayew, who is set to become a free agent when his contract with Swansea City expires at the end of the month.

The Scottish giants were recently linked with a move for Ayew as they look to strengthen their attacking this summer, and prepare for a possible life without Odsonne Edouard.

Celtic lost their title to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers last season and today it was announced Ange Postecoglou will be the man to replace Neil Lennon as their new manager, so transfer business can begin.

Fotomac say Fenerbahce are set to battle it out with Celtic to complete the signing of the Ghanaian attacker. Ayew spent the 2018/19 season on loan with the Turkish side, but after a turbulent spell for both him and the club he returned to Swansea City.

The 31-year-old enjoyed a decent season with Swansea City despite the Welsh side losing out in the playoff final to Brentford.

Given he’s a free agent, the wages offers from Celtic and Fener will be key.

Ayew made 47 appearances in all competitions for Steve Cooper’s side last season, scoring 17 goals and providing seven assists.
