Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is on AC Milan’s list of potential targets as they look for a replacement for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who cover the situation at the Serie A side today following the Swedish star’s untimely injury.
They explain that up until the final minutes of yesterday’s training session, those in charge at AC Milan were convinced they didn’t need to sign a replacement for Ibrahimovic.
However, his latest injury ‘can only change plans’ which had already begun to be adapted in the last weeks, with the club’s hierarchy giving the go-ahead for a new striker to arrive, and that’s where it could cause problems for Neil Lennon and Celtic.
Instead, Milan are ‘evaluating’ several other profiles and among them is Celtic striker Edouard, who has continued to impress this season.
The Frenchman has nine goals and two assists in 19 games in all competitions so far, enough to catch Milan’s eye and convince them to put him on their list.
To be clear, there is no mention of Milan making an approach for him or even being close to doing so, just that the Celtic star is on their list of potential targets.
