According to TRT Spor journalist Firat Gunayer, Burnley are set to table an offer for Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel as they look to bring in the Chilean during this transfer window.
Medel has been linked with a return to the Premier League in recent weeks following claims West Ham United have been in talks to sign the player.
Gunayer has claimed Burnley will make an official bid of €6m to sign Medel as they look to bolster their squad before the transfer deadline.
Burnley currently find themselves in a relegation fight and the Chile international’s experience could be a help in the second half of the season. The former Cardiff City player can be deployed as a defensive midfielder or as a central defender, so would bring some versatility.
Medel has been one of the most consistent players at Besiktas this season and is under contract at Vodafone Arena until 2020. However, the lure of a return to the English top flight could result in a transfer this month.
