In the last couple of years, many Bundesliga stars have moved to the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne, Roberto Firmino, and most recently Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan made big money moves to England.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu could be the next in the line, reports Bild.
Bild say Çalhanoğlu is toying over a move to Tottenham, but the Bundesliga club have put a price tag of €25m on the Turkish international. They mention nothing further on the subject, other than money being a possible barrier.
The German newspaper don’t mention any offers, or any kind of contact at all between Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen, or with the player directly.
The 22-year-old known for his free-kick taking abilities moved to Bayer a couple of years ago in a €14.5m transfer, and he has 21 goals and 22 assists to his name for the Bundesliga club.
Çalhanoğlu has another three years left on his contract, and could be a brilliant signing, especially at €25m.
It’s worth pointing out that towards the end of every transfer window, Çalhanoğlu rumours heighten, maybe he gets cold feet.
