The operation to get Hamed Junior Traore out of AFC Bournemouth seems to be progressing quickly.

Just hours after the first reports of negotiations with Italian clubs, it’s now claimed that the player is ‘one step away’ from signing for Napoli.

This information comes from TuttoMercatoWeb, and says the player has already said yes to the loan move.

Bournemouth are interested in letting him play more, and now see Napoli as a good destination for him to achieve that.

TuttoMercatoWeb says Traore’s agents already took a flight to Naples to ‘close the deal’, so it just seems like a matter of time now.

Reports from the Italian media had claimed that he was also offered to Fiorentina and AS Roma, but it seems it’s really Napoli who are winning the race.

Traore was signed by Bournemouth in a €15m deal from Sassuolo back in January 2023. He’s only had six appearances for the club this season, though, with three of those being in the EFL Cup, and the Cherries will certainly hope he can get enough experience in this loan spell.
