As we approach July 1st, Manchester United are still to make a signing this transfer window, which is starting to frustrate fans.

The Red Devils need some help in a number of positions, but the club’s sale appears to be holding everything up, including the arrival of a striker.

Many names have been associated with Manchester United, including Victor Osimhen, whom Salvatore Bagni believes would only sign for two clubs, as he explained to Tele A on Si Gonfia la Rite, relayed by Tutto Napoli.

The former footballer was asked about where the Napoli star could go, fully knowing that his club will only accept huge offers, with €150m or so believed to be the benchmark, to let him go.

Bagni said: “Osimhen won’t return to France because he already played there. The same thing with Germany. He doesn’t go to Liverpool or Chelsea because they do not play the Champions League.

“Of all the teams associated with him, for me, he would only go to Manchester United and Real Madrid. He’s not interested in the other teams.”

A lot of that does make sense, since the Nigeria international knows full well he could stay in Naples and play next season’s Champions League, having already won Serie A with his club last season.

Therefore, his next club would have to be an upgrade on what he currently has, with Manchester United capable of offering him Premier League football as well as the top European competition.

The same goes for Madrid and La Liga.
