Marlon’s transfer from Barcelona to West Ham United is now being treated as almost done by the Catalan media.
Outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that the even though the agreement hasn’t been reached yet, the player is expected to join the Premier League side very soon. With the negotiations being ‘well forwarded’, West Ham are expected to pay between €15m and €18m for the Brazilian.
Barcelona signed Marlon on a €5m deal from Fluminense last summer, and immediately loaned him out to French side Nice on a two-year deal.
But apparently West Ham’s offer was enough to break the player’s spell in France, with the president from the Ligue 1 club confirming he wouldn’t be staying.
Mundo Deportivo claims that the talks are being handled by the Barcelona CEO Oscar Gray and the player’s agent. Once the deal is done, Marlon is expected to be signing a five-year contract for the London side.
