Six time Turkish Champions Trabzonspor are currently going through arguably the most difficult time in their entire history. The club has scored only 7 goals in 12 games and they’re currently sitting in 15th place, one place above the relegation zone.
Therefore, they want to sign a couple of players to turn their fortunes around and, according to AmkSpor, Aston Villa defender Micah Richards is one of these players.
Trabzonspor has been linked with Richards since the summer transfer window, but the Turkish club were unable to convince Aston Villa, it remains to be seen if it’s different under new manager Steve Bruce.
Richards has only managed 128 minutes of Championship football this season, partly due to injury, and it’s thought in Turkey that the 28 year old is keen to move.
Former Manchester City graduate Micah Richards has a good reputation in Turkey, largely because of the hype, much of it deserved, at the beginning of his career. Trabzonspor would be relying on Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce to agree to a move, and also Richards coming through any injury issues.
