Alexis Sanchez edging towards the Arsenal exit door has been happening for some time now. The Chile international seems genuinely undecided on what to do with his future, but it can be pretty certain that a season outside of the top four isn’t it.
With an Arsenal contract lasting until June 2018, Sanchez has the balance of power on his side and can choose what his future looks like. Manchester City and Chelsea have both been strongly linked with the Arsenal player, but L’Equipe believe PSG stand a good chance.
The French newspaper explain that Arsenal would be loathe to sell Sanchez to a Premier League rival, so sending him to France would be a more palatable option. Wenger is said to have a good relationship with PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi, which L’Equipe believe could help things further.
As for a transfer fee, it’s claimed it wouldn’t be too high, and lower than the €38m, L’Equipe’s figure, that Arsenal paid Barcelona for the player. Should Manchester City and Chelsea interest be correct, then PSG would surely have to pay more.
