Arsenal are set to receive a new bid for Folarin Balogun from Monaco, who ‘will charge’ to make the signing once they’ve completed a deal for Denis Zakaria.

That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the Ligue 1 side will make a third and improved bid for the striker after seeing €30m and €40m offers rejected already.

They explain that once the deal for Zakaria is done and dusted, it is currently in the final stages, Monaco will turn their attention completely onto Balogun.

The belief is that they ‘will charge’ for the Arsenal striker, who earned rave reviews in France last season during a loan spell at Stade de Reims.

The Monegasque club have been chasing his signature for weeks and have already seen two bids rejected by Arsenal, with the latter worth nearly €40m.

The Gunners are believed to be holding out for much more, with them keen to make use of the sale and help balance the books after a summer of big money moves for Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.

Whether Monaco will match their demands remains to be seen but the intent to make a third bid is there and that will be incoming once Zakaria’s move has been tied up.
