While Arsenal needed some reinforcements this summer, signing a new striker wasn’t top of the list, with midfield and defence more pressing areas.

That being said, it doesn’t mean the Gunners aren’t keeping an eye on talent around Europe in case a new forward is required.

According to La Provence, one of the players still on Arsenal’s scouting team’s list is Celtic’s Moussa Dembélé.

We say ‘still’ since the 22-year-old has been linked with the Unai Emery’s side in the past, when Arsène Wenger was in charge, but the French newspaper claim the interest remains.

This information comes within an article about Marseille potentially making a move for the Celtic starlet, who could be allowed to leave if €15-20m were to be placed in front of Brendan Rodgers and co.

Arsenal’s interest will have to remain as that for now, since the transfer window is closed, but it’s interesting to know that despite having the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang already at the club, the Gunners are still thinking about the future.

It’s common knowledge the young French striker won’t be staying at Celtic Park for the remainder of his career, and it’s just a case of when he leaves, not if.
