Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs interested in Toulouse youngster Fares Chaibi.

That’s something reported by Foot Mercato, who highlight how important the 19-year-old midfielder has managed to become at the French side, despite only a few months in their first team.

The outlet claims that Chaibi is making both Sevilla and Arsenal ‘salivate’ for his signing.

There are a few more details on the chase from the La Liga side, with Foot Mercato claiming the Spanish club could ‘go on the offensive’ in the January transfer window.

Regarding Arsenal, it’s only really claimed that they could provide some ‘competition’ for the transfer.

Chaibi was elected the best youngster of October in Ligue 1, and he’s actually one of the top 10 passers in the league.

Despite starting his career at Lyon, the midfielder joined Toulouse’s academy in 2019 and made his way to the first team.

Even though he’s mostly a midfielder, he was already used on the wings and even as a centre-forward, having two goals and four assists for the French side.
