Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is ‘the latest idea’ at Juventus if they do need to replace Adrien Rabiot this summer.

That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who says the Arsenal man is keen on the move should it become concrete.

Rabiot is out of contract at Juventus this summer and as yet it is unclear what will happen, despite having been offered an extension by the Italian side that he has not yet accepted.

Should he refuse to do so Juventus will need to replace a key player and it seems they are now eyeing up Partey at Arsenal and he ‘would be keen’ on the move.

At the moment the transfer is just an ‘idea’ for both parties, but it could be accelerated if Arsenal are able to complete a move for Declan Rice.

He would be a direct competitor for Partey in the defensive midfield role in Mikel Arteta’s squad and that could open up the idea of Partey departing. Several reports in England have already indicated that Arsenal would be open to letting him go this summer.

Juventus are seemingly considering taking advantage of that if they need to replace Rabiot in the coming weeks.
