Doing well for themselves in Serie A this season, Sassuolo have a few choice players teams abroad and in Italy are looking at.

Jeremy Boga is the obvious one, alongside both Domenico Berardi and Manuel Locatelli.

The latter of the three has already been linked with a few European clubs, to which Arsenal can now be added, according to Il Resto del Carlino.

Publishing on their website, it’s explained that while Berardi is the one player the club cannot afford to lose, Locatelli’s situation isn’t the same.

Il Resto state it’s ‘easy’ for the midfielder to leave, especially ‘with Arsenal joining Juventus and other noble suitors’ following the midfielder ‘already expressed top club ambitions’.

They are referring to a recent interview the player gave to Corriere dello Sport, where he made it clear he was ready to make the move up in the footballing world, and he wasn’t afraid to do so abroad.

That will be a boost for the Gunners, but if they face the likes of Manchester City in the race for his signature, who have also been heavily linked, then the lure of Champions League football could lead him to choose the Etihad over the Emirates.

Unless the latest plans to form a ridiculous Super League do actually take hold, that is, and then everything is meaningless and he’ll just join whoever pays him the most.
