Italian outlet Calcio Mercato has a few updates on the situation of Arsenal loanee Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The website claims AS Roma continue to be pretty sure they want to keep the player on a permanent deal. That’s why his agent Mino Raiola has started working on an agreement.
The biggest issue for now is Mkhitaryan’s price. Roma would be willing to make an offer of €15m plus €3m in bonuses, but that’s still far from the €24m demanded by the Gunners.
The clubs should now sit to negotiate until they found some common ground. But there’s another possibility in the picture, which is the transfer of Justin Kluivert.
Roma shall listen to what Arsenal have to offer, since this is a factor which would reverse the scenario, as it’s the Gunners who’d have to pay the Giallorossi some extra money.
