The Catalan press continue to give a lot of coverage to Ruben Neves, as they try to build the idea of a Barcelona battle for the player in the coming windows.

Already this week it’s been claimed the Wolves player turned down Manchester United and Liverpool in the summer market, because he’s determined to move to the Camp Nou. That’s the typical type of reporting from the Catalan media, where they believe every footballer in the world wants to play for Barcelona above all others.

Arsenal have also been dragged into the picture, with Sport reporting they also made an effort in the summer. It’s stated Arsenal continue to ‘insist’ on signing the Portugal international and will try for his signature in future windows.

Therefore, Sport have put Mikel Arteta’s side into a battle with Barcelona.

According to the report, Neves has no intention of agreeing a renewal with Wolves and the club will therefore be forced to consider his sale in the coming months. The player’s current deal expires in June 2024, so there could be a worry about his value dropping from next summer onwards.
