As has been reported since before January, Arsenal hold an interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa.
The left-back is out of contract in the summer, and while he has been used a number of times by Thomas Tuchel this season, it appears to be the end of the road for him in the French capital.
Arsenal, among other clubs, have been monitoring his situation closely, and there was even a report suggesting they could try and force an early move in January, although that never took place.
The Gunners have been looking at left-backs all season despite already having Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolašinać at the club, and there’s now a claim a deal for Kurzawa is done.
It’s come from Todofichajes.com, who state Arsenal are ‘very close to announcing a new addition’, and the defender will sign a ‘five-year agreement’ at the Emirates, arriving on a free, linking to an article from January 20th on their website where they say exactly the same thing, just with different words.
It’s explained the deal ‘will be made public at the end of the season’, and Kurzawa ‘will become the Gunners’ first signing of the 2020-21 season’.
Nothing is done until it’s official, as you all well know, and it’s a bit odd that Todofichajes would be the first on this when other more prominent sources in France aren’t.
For example, just over 10 days ago, it was stated his agent was ‘handling interesting offers’, including one from the Gunners, but there was no mention of anything being signed.
