It seems Diego Costa could finally be on his way out of Chelsea.

After all a summer long saga, Spanish outlet El Confidencial report a transfer to his old club Atletico Madrid is now getting closer.

Chelsea are finally keen on selling because Antonio Conte has demanded more signings to help a battle to retain the Premier League trophy. For that to happen, El Confidencial say the club will need, or want, some money from sales.

Chelsea are said to be demanding €50m for the transfer, and that demand is credited to Roman Abramovich, but with time running out the figure may drop.

A deal between Diego Costa and Atletico Madrid wouldn’t be a problem. El Confidencial claims that an agreement was found long ago, as the player wants to return to the club which he left ‘for money’ in 2014.

Atleti are expected to loan the player to another side until January, when their transfer ban comes to an end. So Costa would present himself at the club in ‘perfect’ physical condition.

Chelsea are in a rush, so Abramovich may have to drop from his €50m demand.
