Two days ago, reports from Italy stated Manchester United are ‘seriously interested’ in Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana.

Gianluca Di Marzio took to Twitter to claim Onana’s agent Albert Botines is ‘currently in Manchester’ to ‘explore conditions’ for a deal with the Red Devils.

On his website, Gianluca Di Marzio adds that ‘now it will be necessary to understand’ if Manchester United are ready to make an offer for the 27-year-old. He says the Serie A side will need at least €50m to sanction the player’s sale in this window.

Over at Gazzetta dello Sport, they also state Botines ‘is in Manchester’, to ‘understand’ if they will make an ‘important’ offer for his client.

David de Gea, who was the first-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford last season, has a deal expiring on June 30th.

It’s stated Erik ten Hag wants a new stopper who can adapt to his style of play, which is why he’s ‘asked’ for Onana or FC Porto’s Diogo Costa. The coach knows the Cameroonian very well from their time at Ajax.

Gazzetta say Manchester United don’t have an ‘unlimited’ budget for this window, and they also need to sign a new striker. Therefore, they don’t intend to spend over €30m plus bonuses on a goalkeeper.

This, as per the report, is too low for Simone Inzaghi’s side, who value Onana at least at €60m.

Inter are aware their star could leave and are ‘thinking’ about Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as a potential target to replace Onana.
