While there has been a lot of optimism in the Italian media that Tanguy Ndombele could be leaving Tottenham for Napoli, it appears there might still be a few issues to iron out.

We say this because a well-known football agent named Bruno Satin, who used to represent Kalidou Koulibaly, hinted Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli that a deal bringing the Frenchman to the south of Italy appeared to be off the cards.

He knows this not because he’s involved in the proceedings himself, but because he allegedly had a chat with the Tottenham player’s representative, whom he clearly knows.

He said, relayed by Il Napoli Online: “I spoke with Ndombélé’s agent yesterday and I don’t think he can end up at Napoli. He’s a strong player, but Conte at Tottenham doesn’t consider him a starter. He’s looking for space elsewhere and he deserves it because he’s a player of great quality.

“He exploded in Lyon, returned last year and did pretty well. He has the ability to break the line thanks to his physical strength.”

Now, it’s worth pointing out here that Satin doesn’t actually tell us why Ndombele’s move from Tottenham to Napoli shouldn’t take place, especially when you take into account all the reports that have emerged in the Italian press on Tuesday.

The latest of these came from Rai Sport, who stated via their journalist Ciro Venerato that the player would end up at the Serie A side after they completed their sale of Fábian Ruiz to Paris Saint-Germain.

Right now, we’ll take Satin’s words with a pinch of salt, because there’s too much smoke out there for there not to be a fire somewhere.
