After a summer full of rumours regarding Everton Cebolinha’s future, Grêmio are shocked to have received no official bids for him.
Things looked potentially serious when it was claimed Arsenal were preparing an offer for the 23-year-old, but it seems things didn’t progress.
As reported by Globo Esporte today, the Gunners are still the ‘main interested’ side, but their chase ‘hasn’t become reality’ so far.
With only a few days left until the end of the Premier League transfer window, it seems like this offer will never be made, and Grêmio’s board are confused about it.
“It’s absurd. For what he played at the Copa America, we expected a flood. We have nothing so far. Let’s wait,” said Grêmio official Deco Nascimento.
Globo Esporte claims that Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Napoli have all shown interest in Everton as well.
On Friday, it was reported in Brazil that he was offered to Everton too, but the Toffees didn’t show an immediate will to sign him.
