Everton to Everton. We admit we’ve been waiting for this rumour for the entire summer, and with only six days until the end of the transfer window, it finally came.

As reported by DAZN Brazil pundit Gustavo Gogaça Guffo on Twitter, the Grêmio star has been offered to the Toffees by intermediaries.

But the club’s response hasn’t been very positive. According to the report, they’ve said they are ‘focused on other players at the moment’, although it could be a possibility for the future.

Guffo adds that there have been ‘no bids for the player’ so far, but it’s not clear if he means from Everton or any other club.

Everton are close to signing Moise Kean from Juventus, and have completed the purchase of Jean-Philippe Gbamin today.

Everton, the player, has been heavily linked to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City this summer. Grêmio always said they wanted €40m for their share of the player, which is 50%.

Paying €80m for a player who’s coming straight from South America would be something that never happened before, and clubs would look to negotiate the fee down dramatically.

Everton was a shining light for Brazil as they won the Copa America this summer.
