Corriere del Mezzogiorno have an article in their Tuesday edition of interest to Wolves fans, which isn’t something we can say often.
The regional Italian newspaper cover Bari’s attempts to sell Djavan Anderson before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Anderson is a 22 year old Dutch fullback who is available for transfer, with Bari looking to get a little more than is currently on the table.
Sampdoria are keen on the player, who only moved to Bari in the summer, but their offer so far is €1.5m. Serie B side Bari want more from the Genoan Serie A club and feel a little comfort because there’s wider interest.
That interest is credited to Benfica, Porto, and Wolves.
With Portuguese and Wolves interest it could be assumed there’s some kind of Mendes connection along the way, but there’s no mention of that in the Italian report.
Bari feel backed up by the interest from Wolves and the Portuguese clubs, but if none of the three actually make a concrete offer, Sampdoria may get their man for the €1.5m already offered.
