According to Hurriyet a deal to take Badou Ndiaye to Stoke City has been done, despite reports of last minute interest from Inter Milan.
The 27 year old Senegalese will join up with Stoke City after Galatasaray accepted a €16m offer from the Premier League side.
Various reports in the Turkish media suggest the player will earn less money at Stoke City, but a chance to play in the Premier League proved to be a huge factor in his decision.
In today’s edition of Sabah, the Turkish newspaper say Ndiaye only wanted to join the Premier League side to prove himself to the national team manager Aliou Cisse, so that he can play in the starting eleven in Russia.
Sabah also claim Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim tried his best to keep Ndiaye at the club, at least for the remainder of the season, but the Senegal international insisted that a move to the Premier League was his dream.
Hurriyet believe the official announcement regarding the player’s transfer to Stoke is expected today, as the both sides try to finalise the finer details.
