Fanatik claim Everton have agreed a deal to sign Besiktas’ Cenk Tosun for €25m.

The forward has been strongly linked with Newcastle United in the past few months, following their attempts to sign the Turkey international in the last window.

The Turkish newspaper reports after positive talks between Everton and the Turkish side, Besiktas have agreed to sell Tosun to the Toffees, and that the English club will pay €25m for the 26-year old.

Fanatik say Everton officials reached an agreement with Besiktas before the weekend, and subsequently Tosun was left on the bench on Saturday.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman reportedly demanded €40m from Everton in the first place, but after a series of talks he accepted a €25m offer from the Premier League side.

Fanatik say Everton already agreed a 4.5 year contract with Tosun and the Turkey international will become the most expensive player ever to sold by a Turkish Super Lig side.

This will come as a blow to Newcastle United after the Premier League side tried to sign the Turkey international in the last window, but failed with an attempted bid for the player.

Newcastle United have since been linked with a January move for Tosun, with reports in late October they could table a bid for the forward in the new year.
