Deadline day has arrived for English clubs, and Milliyet claim Crystal Palace have made a £10m bid for Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun.

Newcastle United have also reportedly tabled an offer for the player, according to the Turkish media outlet.

Tosun’s possible transfer to Crystal Palace has become a major talking point in Turkey, and it now remains to be seen whether Cenk will move to the Premier League before the window closes

Haber1903.com also claim Newcastle United and Brighton have made an offer for the 26 year old, but it seems Crystal Palace’s interest is more concrete.

Milliyet say Besiktas need funds to complete deals for Jose Sosa and Domagoj Vida, so selling Tosun to Crystal Palace could make sense for the Turkish champions.

It’s claimed Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is looking to offer £8m for the player, but Crystal Palace currently lead the race as they have also offered €2.5m per year for the player.

Milliyet report Besiktas president Fikret Orman is demanding a fee in the region of £12m, and an agreement can be reached for either Crystal Palace or Newcastle United, as Besiktas manager Senol Gunes would allow the move.

Another plus for Crystal Palace and Newcastle United is that the Turkish transfer window still has a week to go, which gives Besiktas more time to bring in a replacement if they sell Tosun today.
